In the Middle Ages, the term expanded to include narrative poems with happy endings and a lighter tone. In this sense Dante used the term in the title of his poem, La Divina Commedia.A party is a gathering of people who have been invited by a host for the purposes of socialising, conversation, recreation, or as part of a festival or other commemoration of a special occasion.
